2019 Anchor Campaign

An enthusiastic toddler playing art bingo, a first-time museum-goer, a seasoned fine artist - the magic of the Minnesota Marine Art Museum is experienced daily by the growing number of visitors to your art museum. As we enter the season of gathering, celebrating, and giving, I ask that you count the Minnesota Marine Art Museum as an organization worth celebrating, a place to gather with friends and family, and a nonprofit deserving of your financial support.

Your support throughout the year, with memberships, donations, and visits, has helped the museum achieve the following:

  • Welcomed over 33,000 visitors so far

  • Achieved a new monthly attendance record in October 2019 with over 4,500 visitors

  • Engaged over 2,100 students on school tours, kindergarten through college

  • Engaged over 500 art lovers on Toddler Tuesday

  • Opened 8 unique exhibitions reflecting the museum's tagline of “Great Art Inspired by Water”

As museum attendance has steadily increased over the years, visitors enthusiastically share their experiences at your art museum - the following is from one such visitor:

“My wife and I decided to go to The Minnesota Marine Art Museum in Winona on a little overnight trip down the Mississippi. We'd heard good things about it. I for one had heard good things about it 271 times over the course of a decade. Oh they were all of them true! Every last good thing!”

Financial support is vital to our continued success; you can be the anchor that strengthens and allows your art museum to thrive, engage, and educate well into the future.
