2019 Anchor Campaign
Hello and happy winter from all of us at your art museum!
Now is the time of year when we make our lists (grocery shopping, holiday cards, presents still to buy) and see the lists for the year (top movies, top books, top musical hits). We'd like to share our own list - a list of achievements and successes from the year so far, which your support as a museum visitor, member or donor has helped make possible:
As of Thanksgiving Day, we have welcomed 33,264 visitors and are on track to have our highest attendance year ever.
Our Second Saturdays arts access program is tremendously successful, setting a new single day of attendance of 884 visitors in September.
We saw a new monthly record attendance in October with over 4,500 visitors.
We have engaged over 2,100 students on school tours, kindergarten through college.
There were 8 new works added to the permanent collections, including pieces by Giorgio de Chirico and N.C. Wyeth; MMAM now has paintings by each of the prominent Wyeth artists: N.C. Wyeth, his son Andrew, and Andrew's son, Jamie Wyeth.
I ask that you count the Minnesota Marine Art Museum as an organization worth celebrating, a place to gather with friends and family, and a nonprofit deserving of your continued financial support. Our year-end Anchor Campaign has just kicked off and for the first time, we are asking you, our digital-supporters, to consider joining in and making a special contribution to celebrate MMAM's past year and invest in our bright and shining future.
On behalf of the stellar team here are your art museum, I wish you warm and happy holidays, and we'll see you soon in the galleries.
