The Bus is On Us!

Thanks to a generous grant from Winona Foundation, MMAM is able to reimburse schools for the cost (up to $200) of busing students to the museum, making a trip and tour more accessible!

Here is how the program works:

  1. Schedule your tour online.

  2. Indicate on the online tour scheduling form that you would like to apply for bus funds.

  3. MMAM will contact you to confirm your tour, and to let you know if bus funds are available. 

  4. Once tour details are finalized with MMAM, book your bus!

  5. Schedule your bus. Call your school district’s bus company, and arrange pick-up and drop-off details.

  6. After you have paid for your bus, send us your receipt (must be the actual receipt after the trip), and we will reimburse you for the cost of your travel from school to MMAM for up to $200 per group. The Bus is On Us is due to fund availability.


The Bus is on US FAQ:

  • Bus is On Us is only valid for K-12 school groups. 

  • Funds will be released three times each school year (fall, winter, and spring) to ensure equal access to the funding.  

  • MMAM will pay up to $200 per group, not per bus, visiting the Museum. 

  • K-12 school groups interested in applying for a contribution of up to $200 per group must click that they would like to be considered for the contribution when they fill out the online tour scheduling form.  

  • All invoices must be received within 30 days of your tour to ensure grants funds are used on a first come, first served basis.

  • Standard busing only, no coach bussing will be approved for reimbursement, as the grant is intended to help serve as many students as possible.
