Gregory Euclide: Observation Infiltration

January 24 - May 24, 2020

Gregory Euclide

Gregory Euclide

Gregory Euclide creates unique paintings, sculptures, dioramas, and mixed media installation pieces exploring landscapes, water, and the collision of nature and mankind. He uses a variety of found objects, both natural and artificial, to explore humankind’s impact on the natural world. Euclide invites us to explore worlds where he blends real and imagined images, objects, and materials to evoke feelings of nostalgia, question the reality of the present moment, and provide a look toward the future.

In a stunning show of flying pencils, scraping spatulas, spraying water and twisting and tearing paper, Gregory Euclide brings landscapres to life, imagining the way the land appeared in the past, what shaped its development and how it will evolve going forward. His intuitive attack on the canvas is breathtaking, almost as spectacular as the finished piece itself.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts & cultural heritage fund.
