Picture Yourself at MMAM

My name is Julie Heukeshoven and I am the Events Manager at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum. Part of my job is to oversee all the rentals that take place in our two spaces available for rent, the Oberton Education Room and the Atrium.

The Oberton Education room is perfect for art classes, family gatherings, corporate meetings, or team building retreats. It can seat 48 people at tables, and it is equipped with a sink and counter, mobile whiteboard, access to secure wifi, projection, and sound system. The galleries make for a wonderfully relaxing midday meeting break!

The Atrium is available to rent in the evenings. It is artfully designed with white oak accents, a vaulted ceiling, window-installed stained glass, and views of the Mississippi River. The Atrium opens into three art galleries that house rotating exhibitions throughout the year. This exquisite space is perfect for cocktail parties, groom’s dinners, and employee celebrations and retreats. All galleries remain open during rentals, so renting the Atrium space gives attendees a private viewing of the whole museum!

I assist renters with many aspects of planning their event, from suggesting caterers, to planning the layout, and setting up equipment and tables.
