Art, Connection, and Wellbeing at MMAM (2026)

We welcome referrals from healthcare providers, social workers, counselors, and community organizations. While MMAM is not a clinical service, participation in arts and cultural experiences can reduce isolation, encourage social connection, foster lifelong learning, and create opportunities for creativity, reflection, and joy which are all important contributors to overall wellbeing and quality of life.

SPARK!

For people living with memory loss and their care partners. Focuses on connection, conversation, cognitive engagement, and quality of life.

 
 

Riding the Wave

Mindfulness and creativity workshops led by a licensed mental health professional and artist. Explores skills such as self-compassion, acceptance, and resilience.

 

Seasonal Saturdays

Low-cost community days featuring tours, artmaking, music, demonstrations, and free transportation.

 

Enjoy MMAM at Your Own Pace

Visitors do not need to attend a formal program to benefit from the museum.

During a self-guided visit, guests can:

  • Explore galleries independently

  • Participate in Gallery Bingo and earn a small prize

  • Use complimentary sketching materials

  • Take part in self-guided looking and reflection

  • Ask friendly staff and volunteers for recommendations or assistance

  • Spend time in a calm, welcoming environment designed for curiosity and discovery

MMAM offers free and reduced admission for the following:

  • Indigenous Peoples First - Inclusion Campaign 

  • Free Student Thursday

  • Children 5 and under

  • North American Reciprocal Museum members

  • MMAM is a Blue Star Museum and provides free admission to the museum for active military and their families from Armed Forces Day to Labor Day.
