Founded in 1978, the American Society of Marine Artists (ASMA) is the nation’s oldest and largest non-profit organization dedicated to marine art and history. Their mission is to recognize, encourage and promote marine art and maritime history, to encourage cooperation and free intercourse among artists, art teachers, art students, craftsmen, publishers and others engaged in artistic activities relating to marine art and the history of marine art. The ASMA has nearly 500 members and most are professional artists. This jury selected exhibition is touring five venues throughout the United States.
