Celebrate three current exhibitions at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum (MMAM) with the FRESH Water New Look Preview Party. Explore the large scale mythical portraits in Kajahl: Ultra Mare, inspired by the sea and ancient heritage; immerse yourself in Judy Onofrio’s Deep Dive with larger than life sculptures inspired by underwater flora and fauna; and meet the author Kao Kalia Yang and illustrator Khoa Le, of The Most Beautiful Thing, one of two books featured in the current Book Arts exhibition, Across a Wide Ocean: Remarkable Stories about the Origins of Identity. This evening celebrates the artists, exhibitions and stories behind the artworks. With curatorial-led tours, a staged social discussion with the exhibiting artists, and a dancehall to close out the night, this will be an evening you will not want to miss.
