Meet the Artists!
Adora Vang
Adora Vang is a Freelance Graphic Designer & Creative Artist from Stillwater, Minnesota. She has many artistic passions including drawing, photography, lettering, writing, and cross-stitching! Two of her greatest inspirations come from nature and her Hmong heritage.
Anna Flores
Anna Flores grew up in Elgin, IL and graduated with an BA in Studio Art from Winona State University. She has also lived in NE Minneapolis, MN, Bucheon, South Korea, and Shanghai, China. While living in Minneapolis in 2015, a random encounter with a former classmate led Anna to rent a space in an artist's studio. From there, she started a drawing business called Anna Draws Cartoons and took commissions for portraits. Anna enjoys when past customers come back for a new piece, either an update or gifts for family/friends, and when customers have wild, creative ideas!
Sarah Riley
Sarah grew up in the Northwoods of northern WI, and is currently working as a full time artist in Minneapolis. Sarah received a Masters in Art Therapy-Visual Arts, with an emphasis in Ecopsychology. Portraiture is always a wonderful challenge for Sarah; she strives to capture a bit of the subject's personality as well as their physical likeness. Nature is her main source of personal therapy, as well as providing inspiration for her art. Sarah has a deep reverence for nature, and for the handmade.
Annie Galloway
Annie Galloway is a graphic designer and illustrator living in the Twin Cities with her fiance and adorable cat, Pepper. When not running her design business, she enjoys cooking, exploring the cities on foot, reading comics, and dedicating far too much of her time playing DND and board games with her equally nerdy friends (remotely, nowadays). She was born & raised in Winona, and loves visiting the beautiful bluffs from time to time.
Mariah Dowty
Mariah is from Sheboygan, Wisconsin. She is a 24 year-old work from home mom whose passion is creating simple, but meaningful art. Mariah started drawing faceless portraits to give foster families a chance to publicly share moments with their foster children. She fell in love with the simplicity of the drawings and now makes them for families of all kinds.
Maggie Sather
Maggie graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art with a bachelor’s degree in painting and moved to Winona in 2011. She is currently working and completing her master’s degree in art history in Lincoln, NE.
Megan Jones
Megan has always had a passion for art and painting, encouraged from a young age by her mother who also had an artistic hand. She studied and earned a degree as a Graphic Designer but found more excitement as a freelance illustrator, preferring to paint what she truly loves, which usually ends up being anything soft and furry! Megan’s preferred medium is water color but in recent years she has been getting more adept at digital portraits in funny cartoony styles.
Chantel Holsather
Chantel is a lifelong doodler. She grew up scribbling in her notebooks using ink and any markers she could get her hands on. Nowadays, Chantel creates her artwork digitally but markers haven’t left her heart. Many of her postcards are hand drawn with markers. Chantel offers a variety of design services from her Studio in St. Louis Park Minnesota.
Rosalie Quintana
Rosie grew up in Madison, Wisconsin. Currently she is a senior linguistics major at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. Rosie is new to commissioning portraits, but has been enjoying the fun adventure--she thinks it is fulfilling to help a person gift something special for a friend or loved one. Though she has studied watercolor, charcoal, pen, pencil, and photography, digital art has always been her favorite. The day Rosie got her tablet is the day she found a new pleasure in life.
A very warm thank you to our sponsor, WA Group, for making this special fundraiser possible.
