Clean Water and Climate at MMAM
At the Minnesota Marine Art Museum (MMAM), we believe that preserving and celebrating art goes hand in hand with protecting our natural world. As a cultural institution situated along the Mississippi River, we are deeply committed to sustainability, reducing our carbon footprint, and our role in the global effort to combat climate change.
Thanks to the support of the Morgan Family Foundation, which has made mitigating global warming a central focus, MMAM was proudly able to add the new position of Associate Curator of Clean Water and Climate in June of 2025.
Through this role, the museum aims to be a convener of the climate conversation through immersive art experiences and community collaborations. We hope to empower our visitors to take meaningful steps toward combating climate change, fostering a ripple effect of awareness and action far beyond our galleries.
