Do you have old VHS home movies?
The Minnesota Marine Art Museum would like to borrow them!
Entertainment Center, an organization that specializes in obsolete forms of storytelling, in partnership with the Minnesota Marine Art Museum (MMAM), is seeking VHS home movies from Winona and the surrounding area for inclusion in artist Andy DuCett's upcoming exhibition Home(town), opening September 12, 2026.
Winona’s historic Video Vision sign along Highway 61 famously reads, “Home Movie Rentals.” Inspired by this local landmark, our "Video 'Re-Vision" project will feature a community-sourced collection of authentic VHS home movies as part of the Home(town) exhibition, on view September 12, 2026–January 24, 2027.
Your home movies will become part of a temporary in-museum collection, and may be a candidate for a special in museum viewing party, offering visitors the opportunity to experience and celebrate Winona's shared memories together. Tapes will be returned to their owners following their inclusion in the exhibition. With your permission, they may also be documented by our sister organization The Home Movie Label Catalog, depending on your preference and the needs for the tapes.
Help us uncover Winona's home movie history, one tape at a time.
