Art is for everyone! Second Saturdays at MMAM offers $1 Admission. MMAM members and Children 4 and under are always free.

Art-Making Activities:
Brush Lettering: Try your hand at this beautiful craft that is a tribute to hand lettering and calligraphy.
Felt Creations: Design your own colorful felt flowers or sew an envelope to send some love.
Tours:
Highlights tour : Enjoy this 30-minute introduction to the museum’s permanent collections. (10am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm)
L’Amour: Exploring the French Impressionists of MMAM (11am, 1pm, 3pm)

SPECIAL ACTIVITIES:
Poetry stroll with Jim Armstrong: Take a 20-minute stroll through the galleries with local poet Jim Armstrong. Armstrong will match particular paintings with poems that are similar in theme or technique, demonstrating how pairing the verbal with the visual can give us new ways to fall in love with art. (10:30am, 12:30pm)
Artist Demonstration with Alison Bettin and Kara VerHage: Discover how pastry chefs make Valentine's sweets into works of art. Sisters and artists, Alison and Kara, will demonstrate a variety of piping, stenciling, and air-brushing techniques. Make sure to sample a bite of their beautiful and delicious almond sugar cookies. (1pm-3pm)
Bingo Overboard! Play this search-and-find game, and earn a prize! Bingo is sponsored by Doug Troke with Farmers Insurance.
Magnetic Poetry: Head to the Family Reading Area and try your hand at creating a sonnet, haiku, couplet, or whatever poetry you feel moved to create.
Winona Transit Dial-a-Ride: MMAM is pleased to offer free rides to and from the museum with Winona Transit’s Service Dial-a-Ride, between 10am - 5pm on any Second Saturday event. Please call 507-454-6666 to schedule your ride.
Assistive Listening Devices: The Museum offers assistive listening devices on guided tours. These headsets allow for a clearer presentation on docent led tours. Sponsored by the Elizabeth Calendar King Foundation and the Winona Foundation.
