Savor The Tastes And Sip The Terroir Of The Driftless
THURSDAY, july 20 | 5-8PM
Seasonal and spirited and spirit free-beverages from across the Driftless.
Relax outdoors along the Minnesota Marine Art Museum's Riverwalk, Thursdays this summer at Mississippi Sippin. A perennial summer favorite, this evening presents a casual opportunity to explore how many art forms can be inspired by water. Enjoy a curated selection of spirited and non-spirited beverages, and small plates outside along the Mississippi River. Then, venture into the galleries (open late until 8pm) to see how exhibiting artists are using water as inspiration for their work. Intricate and large scale sculptures of coral reefs by Courtney Mattison in Undercurrent bring attention to coral bleaching and the effect of climate change on our oceans. Concurrently, Liz Sexton’s lifelike and imaginative paper mâché sculptures of sea animals bring attention to dangers these animals face from habitat displacement due to human actions. See what inspires you!
Bike-in. Paddle-in. Row-in. Drive-in. Savor the tastes and sip the terroir of the driftless.
