Once Upon a Shore Gallery
Included with gallery admission | No registration required
Join Mdewakanton Dakota artist Cole Redhorse Taylor for a casual gallery talk exploring the visual language of ledger art and its ongoing significance in contemporary Indigenous expression. Seated together in a circle, participants will hear directly from the artist about his creative process, storytelling through image, and the evolution of his multimedia practice, including illustration. All are welcome to listen, learn, and share.
Support for Once Upon a Shore Comes From
This exhibition project is presented by the Minnesota Marine Art Museum, a nonprofit mission-driven art museum located on the shores of the Upper Mississippi River. MMAM gratefully acknowledges sustaining support from generous contributions from foundations, corporations, individuals, members and volunteers.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts & cultural heritage fund.
