Young Artists from the Stringwood Chamber Music Festival will perform a free public concert featuring works by Mozart, Beethoven, and Schumann, on Saturday, August 21st, at 5pm in the gallery at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum in Winona. Founded in 2000 by the award-winning Artaria String Quartet, Stringwood specializes in connecting talented musicians, ages 12-22, from Minnesota and across the United States, to master teachers and world-class guest artists in two weeks of daily coachings and private lessons, in a supportive and collaborative environment. The program is enhanced by its location in Lanesboro at the Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center, home to year-round naturalists, organic gardens, pristine woodlands, canoeing, high ropes courses, indoor rock wall, nature hikes, bike trails, and breathtaking views.
