Join the Minnesota Marine Art Museum on February 11 for the popular Seasonal Saturday event, featuring $1 admission and special themed activities based on the theme, “From the Earth'' inspired by MMAM’s special exhibition, On the Surface: Flora Inspired Ceramics of Hitomi Hosono.
Special Activities will Include:
Artist demonstration by ceramist Lisa Truax (wheel throwing) [1 - 3:30pm]
Live music from Bell House Band (americana, folk and original music) [11am - 12pm]
Live music from Mettalarks (vocal/guitar duo) [3 - 4pm]
Themed Tours: Take a 30-minute highlights tour based on the theme of today’s event. [10:15am, 11:15am, 12:15pm, 1:15, 2:15pm, 3:15pm, and 4:15pm]
Air-dry clay art-making activity for all ages and abilities [all day]
Bingo Overboard: search-and-find gallery game for a prize [all day]
Community Partner: Gundersen “All of Us: Research Program” [all day]
Spanish and Hmong interpreters from Project FINE available [10am - 1pm]
Free transportation
Free transportation to and from the Minnesota Marine Art Museum is available through Winona Area Transit Service’s Dial-A-Ride. Call 507-454-6666 to schedule your ride a few days before you plan to visit, and MMAM will pay your fare upon arrival and provide you with return fare.
