Third Thursdays at MMAM, your new reason to start the weekend early.

Beginning in 2026, MMAM stays open late every third Thursday. With $5 gallery admission after 5p, a program highlight each month, and Happier Hour at MMAM’s new Waterbar Cafe + Provisions, Third Thursdays will become your new favorite night of the month.

Waterbar Happier Hour

Make it a night out with MMAM’s new Waterbar Cafe & Provisions’ Happier Hour. Featuring drink specials and light fare, the perfect date-night pairing.

Programs 

Over the course of the year MMAM will host (3) book events, (3) films, (3) crafts + cocktail workshops, and (3) musical performances on Third Thursdays. These events will be ticketed separately from gallery admission.

This March get cozy in the galleries on couches and join us for a film specially selected by Dr. Danielle B. Schwartz, of the WSU Film Studies Program. This month’s featured film is Still Life (Dir. Jia Zhangke, 2006), which follows two individuals searching for their spouses in Fengjie, a town along the Yangtze River being dismantled during the construction of the Three Gorges Dam. Dr. Schwartz will give an introduction to why she chose the film and how it relates to the current exhibitions and themes. Bring your own blanket or camping chair if you like, no food or drinks allowed in the galleries. → film tickets.
