2-session workshop: November 15 & 29, 2025 | 9am - 3pm daily

Join Winona-based ceramic artist Will Brzezinski for an immersive two-day workshop where you'll create your very own set of beautiful, functional ceramic cups—no pottery wheel required! This beginner-friendly experience opens the door to the ceramic arts through accessible hand-building techniques that anyone can master.

Day One - Building Your Vision
Explore various patterns and hand-building techniques as you craft your unique cup set. Will will guide you through the fundamental steps of ceramic construction, helping you develop the skills to create dynamic ceramic work using traditional hand-building methods.

Day Two - Glazing & Finishing
Return to find your pieces transformed through bisque firing! Learn about firing temperatures and the fascinating chemistry of glazes. Then apply beautiful glazes to bring your cups to life with color and finish.

Finished cup sets will be available for pick up at MMAM in early December.

About the instructor:

Will Brzezinski creates functional ceramics that serve a purpose in people's daily lives while bringing joy and beauty to everyday moments. With a BFA from UW-Stout and extensive teaching experience, Will has exhibited nationally, including shows in Savannah, Georgia, and Kansas City, Missouri.

Will's approach focuses on capturing "snapshots of time and place" from the natural world, using rhythm, line, and repetition to create pieces that offer pause and reflection in our busy lives. His work elevates ordinary moments into something special—exactly what you'll experience when drinking from your handmade cups.

"Creating work that serves a purpose in people's lives gives my life purpose. Even more so when the work doesn't just function but is also aesthetically pleasing, elevating the user's space and their interaction with it." - Will Brzezinski
