Join the Minnesota Marine Art Museum on Saturday, November 11 for our popular Seasonal Saturday event, featuring $1 admission and special themed activities based on the theme, The Big Catch, inspired by MMAM’s current suite of exhibitions.

ARTIST DEMONSTRATION
[2pm - 4pm] Annie Grossarth-Nicol is the owner of Rose Colored Glass studio in downtown Winona. During this demonstration, she will be working with a torch and rods of glass to create various glass sculptures, including fishing lures. This interactive demo will aim to educate attendees on the physics of glass and the process of melting and shaping to create glass art.
LIVE MUSIC
[11am - 12pm] Enjoy live music from H3O (Jazz).
[3pm - 4pm] Live music from Jim Rieneke (jazz mandolinist).
THEMED TOURS
[10:15am, 11:15am, 12:15pm, 1:15, 2:15pm, 3:15pm, and 4:15pm] Take a 30-minute highlights tour based on the theme of today’s event.
ART-MAKING
[All-Day] Inspired by the current exhibition, From Sea to Paper: The Gyotaku Prints of Dwight Hwang, try your hand at gyotaku fish printing. Sponge, paint and embellish a rubber fish print. This is included in your $1 admission, and is for all ages and abilities.
BINGO OVERBOARD
[All day] Play Bingo Overboard and win a prize! Everyone’s favorite search-and-find gallery game is available all day.
Community Partner
[10am - 3pm] Join the MMAM’s Seasonal Saturday Community Partner, Merchant’s Bank from 10am- 3pm in the Lounge.
PROJECT FINE
[10am - 1pm] Spanish and Hmong interpreters from Project FINE will be onsite at MMAM from 10am - 1pm.
FREE TRANSPORTATION
Free transportation to and from the Minnesota Marine Art Museum is available through Winona Area Transit Service’s Dial-A-Ride. Call 507-454-6666 to schedule your ride a few days before you plan to visit, and MMAM will pay your fare upon arrival and provide you with return fare.
