New Look Weekend a Success

Celebrating the launch of 2026

MMAM kicked off 2026 with the New Look Weekend January 30 - February 1, welcoming visitors to the New Look Party and a full weekend of programming. On Friday night, party-goers enjoyed a special gallery performance by Glacial Spatial, an immersive sound experience created by Trever Hagen and Josh Berg in collaboration with the Winona Symphony Orchestra and Liquid Music. On Saturday, Water | Craft artist, Nicole McLaughlin, demonstrated her work in the museum’s atrium, and Mystical Waters artist, Robert Gonzalez, gave a lecture on his work and the transcendental nature of art. On Sunday, MMAM visitors attended a lecture by Isabel Ruiz Cano, associate curator at The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art, to talk about the newly opened exhibition, Splish, Splash, Story. We are grateful for this moment of celebration and connection!
